A good addition to this unique take on werewolves that is the Real Werewolves Don’t Eat Meat.
This is the second book in the series, and has a stronger plot, which is quite suspenseful.
There is a group of wolves that are out to destroy Tobias at any cost. One of those is Melia the werewolf who turned Kyle and tried to kill him, out of jealousy over his relationship with Tobias her alpha. Melia is hungry for power, which has made her unbalanced.
She teams up with an alpha named Saul who has a long grudge against Tobias.
What follows is a chain of event which ends up in a dramatic and gruesome fight.
Both Tobias and Kyle have troubles to deal with but seem to be each other’s rock.
I enjoyed the book, though if I must pick a fault, it would be that I thought Kyle’s wallowing in self guilt, whilst justifiable, felt a little too much, I just wanted to slap him out of himself.
The other slight issue is we really need to know the story of Harok, I feel like until we do, we will be missing a piece of the puzzle of Tobias past and I have an inkling also Saul’s grudge against Tobias.
I am eager to find out the mystery of Kyle’s powers to go against the Alpha compulsion, and to draw power from his mate Tobias. Hopefully the author will reveal all in the future books of the series.
